On the centenary of Emilio Vedova’s birth (Venice, 1919-2006), the documentary traces the extraordinary human and artistic vicissitude of the great painter through the pages of his diaries, rare archive materials and precious contributions from artists, curators, collaborators and friends . The story is punctuated by the fundamental passages of political, social and art history that characterized the twentieth century and, against the background of an almost ethereal Venice, returns, thanks to the passionate interpretation of Toni Servillo and the almost personal and direct dialogue with Vedova, the deep personality and the powerful trait of one of the most significant artists of the 1900s.
